Microprinting & Guilloche Printing
Microprinting is an anti-counterfeiting technique in which very small text is added to the artwork. The type is set so small that it is difficult or impossible to read with the naked eye. This also makes it difficult to reproduce accurately using copiers or scanners. Printing the text on a background makes it even more difficult to detect. Microprinting is also an inexpensive security solution that fits tinier budgets.
Guilloche PrintingA guilloché is an ornamental pattern formed of two or more curved bands that interlace to repeat a circular design. They are made with a geometric lathe. This can be a kind of security printing to prevent forgery, tampering, or counterfeiting. Adding a Guilloche is a great way to create brand protection, and if implemented at the design stage could cost you nothing at all.
