In printing, Preflight is the process of confirming that the digital files required for the printing process are all present, valid, correctly formatted, and of the desired type. The basic idea is to prepare the files to make them feasible for the correct process and eliminate costly errors and facilitate a smooth production. It is a standard prepress procedure in the printing industry.
Color is dependent on devices and different devices make use of different technologies to produce colors. Color-matching problems result from various devices and software using different color spaces. Thus, how to keep consistency in color across different substrates or different processing that is a big challenge.
Also known as a soft proof, it is a necessary step that must be taken before printing. An electronic proof is done for any file that will be printed. Our prepress expert will look over your files for a number of issues, check that everything is accurate and may provide some suggestions if they find problems with your files, and then they’ll send the final file to you for approval. In general, electronic proofs are effective for double checking content, pagination, and layout. However, electronic proofs cannot accurately portray how colors will look when printed. With our spectral color measurement solution, we can quickly and easily create custom monitor and projector profiles that ensure the colors viewing are true, verify soft proofs and print quality with built-in Quality Assurance (QA) tools, and easily capture and manage spot colors.
